Drawspace lesson F01 - What is Pencil Hatching and how to do it?

Hi all,

and welcome to Lesson F01 of a Drawspace art program.
This is a new section and it also deals with the basics of shading (also see Lesson  B11).

This is the Hatching technique - you just hatch the object using different values pencils.
I read somewhere that it is believed that a good chef needs only one knife to cook a whole meal. I guess that the same might go with artists - single pencil/brush is all you need to create a piece of art.
So maybe it's not a single pencil, but it's still important to know how to use it properly.

This was a very nice exercise, very important too. I loved doing it.

Have a great day,
Dalia
